Vintage and Lviv

The Vintage Boutique Hotel is Lviv in miniature, with its long history, traditions and unveiled beauty. The historical building of the Hotel, an architectural monument of the XVII Century was designed by Joseph Engel in 1956 in a Neo-renaissance style. In 2006, it was completely restored. The stone medieval arches still suit the wine cellar which has become a calling card of the Hotel and gave the beginning to the new history of Vintage in our City.

Lviv has long been famous for its wine cellars due to Italian salesmen and the well-known Lviv figure K. Kornyakt. The dawn of the wine industry in Lviv was in the times of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire when the importers of Hungarian, French and Italian enterprises established their companies in Lviv. Vintage is the symbol of revival of two historical buildings which have been restored as the masterpieces of architecture, and also a revival of the wine traditions of Lviv. One can experience the best wines from around the world under these medieval stone arches which remember the noisy festivals of the antiquity.

We are located in the heart of the historical centre of Lviv, a museum-city, which has been included in the World List of Cultural Heritage of UNESCO. Just a short walk from the Vintage Boutique Hotel will bring you to historical monuments such as Rynok Square of Renaissance epoch (XVI-XVIII centuries); Armenian Cathedral (XIV century); Catholic Cathedral (XV century); Boimiv Tomb (XVII century); Architectural Ensemble of the Uspenia Church (XVI century); Dominican Cathedral (XVIII century); Lviv Opera House (XIX century) and Staroevreyska Street which is a fine specimen of the narrow Lviv streets of old.

Lviv is an outdoor museum. Nowhere else in Ukraine will you find such majestic Gothic and Renaissance monuments; or Renaissance and Baroque churches.
